When I first came to Canada, I was told that my art was "too dark".
So I put it away and started working in a happy world of animation - making drawings and
paintings - for someone else.
I loved Animation as a kid. But the idea of creating "fast art" with added deadline pressure
in the real world did not appeal to me at all.
Coming from a Fine Art background where everything takes time and is all about enjoying the process, I struggled.
Making a good living did not help or make me any happier.
This particular image started haunting me from time to time.
Finally, I got it out of my head.
Oddly enough, my father died a week after it was created (exactly one year ago tomorrow).
This is an updated Silkscreen version of it.
